Seattle Vegan Restaurants Review

Seattle was truly a vegan’s paradise. To be honest the number of options was a little overwhelming. Luckily I had received some recommendations of restaurants from friends so I could easily narrow down all the choices! Here’s all the places we ate at and loved:

Chaco Canyon Organic Cafe ended up being our favorite overall! We ate there a total of 3 times on the trip and seriously would have eaten there more if we stayed longer! Everything at Chaco is organic and vegan. They have an amazing food philosophy and they only the use the freshest of ingredients. I ordered the Gluten-Free Garden Avocado Sandwich all three times and got a variety of sides with it. My fave was the Tomato Bisque soup! Thomas ordered something different each time we went. The Thai Peanut Bowl he ordered is pictured above, he really enjoyed it although it was super spicy! What we truly loved the most from Chaco Canyon was their Gluten-Free Hazelnut Cookies. These cookies are simply the best I have ever had in my life. Upon leaving San Diego, we were pretty bummed we wouldn’t have the cookies in our life anymore. But luckily the nice people at Chaco Canyon commented on my Instagram post and said they could do special orders! So I ordered two packs of the mix for the cookies and baked up a batch as soon as they arrived :)

Plum Bistro

Another restaurant which we knew we couldn’t skip due to multiple recommendations was Plum Bistro. It’s a bit more of a fancier dining experience with a menu full of gourmet vegan options. I opted for the Pesto Grilled Cheese which was very decadent and a bit richer than I expected! My boyfriend got the Chipotle Grill Sandwich and we split an order of their Rosemary Fries which was our favorite part of the meal!

Pizza Pi

Pizza Pi was another cool vegan spot in the University District of Seattle! We came here and were amazed by all the various pizzas they offered and that they were all vegan. I got a custom veggie pizza on a gluten-free crust and really loved it! After visiting Pizza Pi, I’ve really been wishing we had a fully vegan pizza spot in San Diego!

Flying Apron Bakery

I knew I couldn’t go to Seattle without eating at the famous Flying Apron Bakery. All their delicious treats are vegan and gluten-free! We saw so many options that looked delicious that we ended up just getting a bunch of things and splitting them. Our favorites included their garlic herb roll and peanut butter molasses cookie.

Araya’s Vegetarian Place

Thai food is one of my favorites so I was excited to see there were a ton of Thai places with vegan meal options in Seattle. We picked Araya’s since it had amazing reviews on Yelp. I ordered my go-to noodle dish, Pad Thai, plus an order of Spring Rolls for us all to share. I really loved the presentation of all the food and was pretty impressed by their Pad Thai! I think my favorite will always be Plumeria here in San Diego but this is probably the second best Pad Thai I’ve ever had.
