There’s not much better than a sunny Saturday spent in the park eating ice cream sandwiches. After getting our errands done, Thomas and I headed over to Kensington Park to grab vegan gluten-free ice cream sandwiches from Happenstance, a new treat fleet.

I found Happenstance through Instagram last week and we are already addicted! All of their desserts are vegan and gluten-free which is amazing because there’s nowhere else in San Diego that offers that. Besides ice cream sandwiches, they also have uniquely flavored popsicles and ice cream cups from Sol Cal Cafe. So we each grabbed an ice cream sammie, I got coconut while Thomas got salted caramel, and headed to the park for a picnic.

After the rainy and gloomy weather of the past two weeks, the sun was finally out so I was able to wear a dress. I chose a pink lace one from Francesca’s I purchased back in February. I paired it with my favorite bow ballet flats and floral hair bow. My Francesca’s dress is sold out but I’ve included some of my favorite pink lace dresses that are just as picnic perfect below!
