I apologize for the hiatus, I spent the past week in Portland! The trip was something Thomas and I had planned quite some time ago so to say I was eager to go would be an understatement! We had the best time and I am so looking forward to sharing with you all the places we visited, food we ate, and my Portland outfits! We took over 2500 photos so since getting back, I’ve had a lot of photos to sort through! First up, I wanted to share some photos from our second day in Portland in which we visited the Pittock Mansion.
Dress: Ruche, Ballet Flats: Merona, Bag: ModCloth
Pittock Mansion is a historic mansion built in 1914 and it has amazing views of the city. It was one of the best views we got of Mount Hood. It was such a beautiful place to visit and we really enjoyed our morning at the mansion. After exploring the mansion, we headed across the parking lot to hike the Wildwood Trail. It was a nice hike well shaded by the trees so it was great to escape the heat for a little bit. One of the things I loved about the trail was it took you through the gorgeous greenery that Oregon has. We don’t see much of that in California so it was such a nice change. To do the hike we did, simply turn left in the guest parking lot and you’ll see the sign for the trails! Just bring a change of clothes and some snacks if you get hungry!
The mansion admission fee is $10 and you can either do a guided tour or self-tour which we opted for. It’s nice since you can go at your own pace and take lots of photos. After viewing the inside, go outside and take in the gorgeous view of Portland! If you try to get there right around opening time, it hopefully won’t be too crowded. To do the hike we did, simply return to the guest parking lot and turn left, you’ll see the sign for the hiking trails! We did the one that’s about 1.6 miles but there’s also a longer one which is a little over 3 miles. Just bring a change of clothes and some snacks if you get hungry hiking! Also, since my dress is sold out, I’ve linked below some other floral dresses that would be great for summer!
