Cherry Dress

Cherry Dress by Vegan À La Mode

On our last night in Portland, Thomas and I were eager to have a fancy night out. All of the restaurants we had been to were casual so we were really hoping to eat somewhere a little nicer and we lucked out by finding Departure downtown. While we were heading back to our AirBnB to get ready for dinner, I noticed a cute boutique while I was stopped at a traffic light. The first thing I spotted was a cherry print dress. Thomas caught me staring at it and said, “You want that cherry dress don’t you?” I told him yes and he said we should go so I pulled into the lot and lucky enough, the dress was even cuter up close! I love how it has a retro silhouette and figure flattering a-line cut. I had to resist buying the other patterns and just chose the cherry print one. But now that I’ve discovered this dress is also available online in other prints, I’m really tempted!

After eating our amazing dinner at Departure (review to be posted), we walked around Pioneer Courthouse Square which was so pretty! I loved the architecture style and statues that filled the area. Although it was 9:00 PM it was still light out because the sun sets so late in Oregon! It was so nice to be able to get naturally lit photos even though it was late out.

While walking around, we came across a seal statue in a water fountain. Thomas insisted I take a photo pretending to kiss it. So I decided to play along and give him the silly photo he wanted! That ended up being Thomas’s favorite photo from the night, of course! :)

p.s. Food posts are on the way! I’m working on a huge roundup of all the restaurants I ate at in Portland and I have a new recipe post coming up.

This has to be the most adorable dress. I bed it would look super cute with some victory rolls, pinup style!
