A bit past Point Loma lies Harbor Island, a strip of rocky terrain along the Port of San Diego. The view was incredible, the water glimmered against the San Diego skyline. We both were in awe of the gorgeous view and most of all, couldn’t believe we had missing out on Harbor Island’s beauty for so long.

One of the things I have come most to love about San Diego are the endless hidden treasures. One weekend we are discovering secluded suspension bridges while the next we are finding a truly spectacular view. It seems the possibilities are endless. I don’t think I could get bored of it here because there’s seemingly always something new to see!
On this occasion, we headed out to Harbor Island at golden hour to shoot this outfit with the backdrop of the San Diego city skyline. The view was even better than expected. The best part of the night was watching the reflection of the sunset appear against the downtown skyscrapers. It made the buildings appear as though they were glittering!
During summer, I tend to gravitate toward flowy styles. Not only does summer seem like the perfect time to channel my inner bohemian, but it’s also extremely hot here in July so a flowier style makes the heat more bearable. I fell in love with this cobalt blue patchwork print dress from American Eagle because of it’s gorgeous pattern and color. The best part is it paired perfectly with a black felt hat and vegan ankle boots. For this look, I went for a golden makeup looking by using the shimmery bronze color in the Pacifica mineral eyeshadow palette. It felt so nice to be wearing a breezy look while watching the sunset at Harbor Island.
