Liberty Station

Floral dress with a bow and quilted pearl vegan bag

Over the Labor Day weekend, Thomas and I enjoyed a lovely date night at Liberty Station. We started at with drinks at Stone Brewery and then walked over to the bay to watch the sunset. I got a little dressy in a floral dress and a quilted bag by Deux Lux since I seize every opportunity to put on a fancier ensemble.

We started off our evening at Stone Brewery in Liberty Station. Liberty Station was a former naval training center that’s now is home to restaurants, retail shops, and recreation areas. It’s really such a great place to visit since you can find so many things to do there! Stone Brewery has a great outdoor dining and bar area which was so nice to sit at and enjoy our drinks. Although we didn’t order food, I would like to point out that Stone has Meatless Mondays and also a few vegan options on their dinner menu. So if you need to eat while you’re there, you won’t be left hungry! Anyways, I ordered a white wine while Thomas got an IPA beer. If you don’t know this already, vegans need to be careful when ordering drinks because not all alcohol is vegan. Wines especially are often refined with eggs, fish, gelatin, or casein as finishing agents. Before I order, I always check Barnivore which will tell you if a brand is vegan or not. Sometimes they may not have any info on the drink I was thinking of ordering so in that case I just search another. Also quick tip; hard alcohols are more vegan-friendly but again, check before ordering!

After having our drinks, we walked over to the bay to see the sunset. It’s actually right across from the airport so we could see planes taking off right over our heads which was really cool. The sunset was gorgeous and it was the perfect way to relax and get a walk in.

I wore my ModCloth dress which is sadly now sold out but I linked a similar option above. I paired it with a chic quilted crossbody bag by Deux Lux. I love Deux Lux since all their bags are vegan and always on trend! This particular one has a glimmering sheen and pearl embellishments making it the perfect feminine accessory.
