I’m back from a brief hiatus spent packing, moving, and settling into our new apartment! I am so excited about our new place and can’t wait to share a few photos of it once it’s all decorated and organized. We’ve been gathering lots of inspiration so today I’m sharing some chic home looks that I love!
For the bedroom, Thomas and I are sticking with our grey and white theme. We love the neutrality of it and think it’s the perfect color combination. When we bought our new mattress last year, we also bought new bedding to go along with it. We lucked out at West Elm with organic chevron bedding that was in our color scheme! Make sure you get an alternative comforter to keep it cruelty-free We always make sure we are buying cruelty-free when home shopping by checking all the labels and also it’s great to buy sustainable whenever possible! West Elm is our go-to for organic home pieces but you can also look online and find sustainable online home stores. While we still love our bedding and are keeping it, this time around, we are refreshing our bedroom decor with IKEA bar carts as nightstands and a black and white framed photo of Audrey Hepburn.
I’m really excited to finally have an office in our new place! I have been pinning so many office looks I love! I really love this simple but glam desk with metallic touches. I am thinking of framing some Etsy prints above my desk for a chic touch. Also, organizers are a must-have for me. I can’t stand working in a cluttered space so I bought a few sustainable filing drawers and magazine holders from The Container Stores to keep my office organized.
We are going to be having the office double as a guest room so we have a place for out of town friends and family to stay. I have my eye on this IKEA daybed that pulls out into a full bed if needed. I love that it saves space but doesn’t limit you to only having one guest. I am also thinking of adorning it with this minimalistic bedspread.
For the kitchen and dining room, we finally have a lot more space so we are really looking forward to adding accents. Our last kitchen was quite small and the dining room was a small square area in the corner of the apartment. Since we have more room now, we are able to hang some prints and even have some decor around like these crates! I spotted some unfinished wood crates from IKE for around $10 which could easily be repainted. I would love to do something similar to the photo above. Or I was thinking it would also be a great way to store wine!
P.S. New food and fashion posts are on their way! I am aiming to have a new recipe post later this week and a new cruelty-free outfit post next Monday! Hope you all have a great week
