Christmas In The Sand

Plaid shirt at the beach

This weekend we ventured to the beach to collect some sand and shells for a Christmas gift DIY project. While it was gloomy and overcast, we were still able to enjoy the relaxing, breezy afternoon while staying cozy in layers.

With only a few days left until Christmas, I have been busier than ever trying to get gifts wrapped and DIY projects completed. I am really excited about a few of the projects I’m doing this year and will be sure to take photos to share once they have been given out :) Even though we were busy with Christmas shopping and wrapping, we made time to go to Big Bear on Friday for our first snow day of the season! We had so much fun skiing and snowboarding and are already eager to go back! I love that there’s a winter wonderland just under three hours away from San Diego.

For our afternoon at the beach Saturday, I stayed warm in a plaid flannel shirt from American Eagle Outfitters and my favorite Rag & Bone jeans. I love this AE flannel shirt so much I have it in three colors, you may recall I featured the green color combo here! It has the best fit out of any flannel I have tried and it’s really so flattering! Plus I got it on sale for only $25! I’m looking forward to wearing it again on Christmas day with my polar bear PJ’s from Aerie!
