Every year I look forward to Valetine’s Day. From planning what Thomas and I will do, where we will eat, what I will wear, I just love it all! This year, we planned to stay in San Diego and put together a fun date in Little Italy.
Dress: Maison Jules, Shoes: Ruche (Sold Out; Similar), Necklace: Dogeared
For my Valentine’s Day look this year, I decided to forgo a pink or red dress and instead chose this Maison Jules floral dress I got for Christmas! I tied a ribbon in my hair for a little Parisian twist and then finished off the look with ankle strap sandals. Luckily, San Diego is having a bit of a winter heat wave at the moment and it’s been in the 80s all week so it’s finally warm enough to wear a dress! For makeup, I went with a Pacifica pink lipstick to brighten up my look. I kept my eye makeup simple with a 100% Pure shimmery pearlescent shadow, blush, and black eyeliner.
In past years, we’ve taken weekend trips to Newport Beach, Venice, and Downtown LA. But this year, we decided to spend Valentine’s Day here in San Diego. In past years, there were hardly any vegan restaurants in San Diego. But now with Kindred, Cafe Gratitude, Plumeria, etc. there’s no reason not to enjoy the holiday in town. Our plans this year include taking an adventure during the day (maybe a hike somewhere new) and then going to Cafe Gratitude in Little Italy followed by vegan gelato at Papalecco. After that we will be heading to Cinema Under The Stars to enjoy About Time I am so excited!
What are your Valentine’s Day plans? Hope everyone has a happy Valentine’s Day!
