Being surrounded by flowers and plants bring such peace and contentedness so it’s no wonder the Conservatory of Flowers was one of my favorite spots. The gorgeous botanical garden is located within San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park. There’s a wide variety of plants and flowers within the building and its truly beautiful.

Each room was temperature contained to help the plants in it thrive. One of the rooms, the one I’m pictured in through the glass was so humid that the cameras kept fogging up in there. It had a gorgeous pond with lily pad and lotus flowers blooming as pictured below.

It was also an amazing place to shoot with it’s diffused natural light through the greenhouse covering. We were lucky enough to each have our own cameras this day because we rented a Canon 80D so it was fun to both get to shoot instead of switching off. After getting a trial run with the 80D we are in love and saving up to buy one for ourselves! And then we won’t have to keep switching off who gets to shoot with the camera haha :)

I wore a vintage floral halter dress from La Loupe and kept my look simple, pairing it with a vegan crossbody bag and strappy flat sandals. I love this dress because of its 50s silhouette. This was another great find from La Loupe’s Full Moon Sale so it was only $5!

Beautiful photos of you Karissa. You always look so nice and sometimes I forget to comment on your random photos! I love the bucket shot and the Lily at the end. Great job Karissa and Thomas. The dress is adorable … just like you! :-)

What a gorgeous place, and your dress is especially lovely!! As for the camera? Yay, yay! I recently upgraded to a Canon 6D full frame and absolutely love the results and abilities, it’s been such a game changer and I can’t wait to shoot more jobs with it this summer! Congrats on your soon to be, camera baby! 😉
